Fair Trade Fortnight 2015

banner-webOver the Easter break many of you gratefuly took part in the “Sign With Mary” campaign to encourage supermarkets to increase their supply of Fairtrade Easter eggs and products for easter 2016. The Fairtade Easter Campaign was a tremendous success with more than 13,000 supporters signing and delivering the petition to Coles and Woolworths supermarkets.

Now Fairtrade Australia is asking you to help take action and join Fair Trade Fortnight 2015 from the 8th-22nd of May.

If every cup of Fairtrade tea, coffee or hot chocolate makes a difference to farmers, workers, and their communities, imagine the impact if you inspire a few more people to change their buying habits.

This Fair Trade Fortnight, take action for Fairtrade in your school, work, university, community or online. You have the power to do something amazing.

Share your Fair Trade Fortnight action on social media

Have you organized an event at your school, workplace or place of worship? Have you made a personal challenge during Fair Trade Fortnight?

Inspire others to do the same by sharing on social media using #PowerofYou @FairtradeAU

By sharing on Twitter or Facebook, you could win Fairtrade products. To show our appreciation that you’re taking a stand for farmers and workers, we will be selecting ten people who tweet or post their Fair Trade Fortnight action for Fairtrade give-aways.

Host a public event or attend one

Join in one of the open Fair Trade Fortnight events happening around the country, or organize your own. Let us know so we can help spread the word.
