Pope Francis recently spoke out about the disasterous impact mankind is having on the environment. The Church teaches us that creation, including the land we feed off, is a gift from God and that we should show respect for our creator by taking care of the environment.
Today we see the devastating effects of environmental degregation brought on by both man and climate change. These effects have shocking repercussions on developing nations, homes, communities, agriculture and livestock and the future of human existence.
In order to protect our environment and God’s creation from more harm, we must take action to ensure that we reflect our duty to care for God’s creation and the environment that feeds and protects us.
